Overcoming the challenges he faced as a new Canadian has made Wadih Fares a very successful entrepreneur.
In 1976, Wadih left war-torn Lebanon to study engineering at Dalhousie University. He adapted to his new country, conquering enormous language obstacles. Then, less than three years after graduating, Wadih started his own design-build business. Starting small, his first contract was constructing a house for a friend.
Now Wadih heads W.M. Fares Group, one of Nova Scotia’s most experienced and successful real estate developers.
