With over 25 years of experience, Wadih has been involved in every aspect of building design, project management and development. Wadih received his Diploma of Engineering from Technical University of Nova Scotia and his Bachelor of Engineering from Dalhousie University before starting his own engineering firm, WM Fares & Associates, in 1980. As president of WM Fares Group, Wadih leads a team of professional engineers, architects, planners and supporting staff that are behind the success of many major hospitality, multi-unit residential and commercial projects throughout the Maritime Provinces, Ontario and Alberta. Wadih is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia, and several other Canadian provinces. He believes in not only building and shaping communities, but also giving back to them and serves as a volunteer on numerous boards and committees in the Halifax Regional Municipality such as: Capital Campaign Chair for the Halifax Theater project, Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for Pier 21 and acts as a member on the Board of Directors for The Urban Development Institute of Nova Scotia. Recently Wadih was elected as Councillor for the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia.
